lmfao remember the last time i tried that

im sorry to the people who actually liked the quiet but it got to the point where i couldn’t continue with it because doing the comic actually made me even more depressed

count it as my narrative curse where anything i touch just gets sadder and sadder until i literally can’t look at it any more

i’ve been trying this past week to get up to the task of actually working on webcomic

sadly my brain had other ideas

it’s still going though?????? do not worry it’s my baby project, i would not abandon a baby what kind of horrible person do you take me for

right now though between stressing with uni work and the daily uphill battle against myself, updates are probably going to be few and far between for the moment

i know some people have been really patient waiting for updates, but y’know i did say i would update it whenever so there’s really no set update schedule

workin’ on da webcomicsssssssss

well now that supanova’s over and done with, i can get back to working on quiet pages, yeeeeeee

to tide you guys over while u wait (i mean if you actually read my webcomic lmao), have some pen doodles i did over the weekend

i know im only like ten pages into my webcomic so far but i was looking through what i have and i kind of think the way ive been going about the colours and lineart is somewhat

dull

crayon tool is really fun to use, but it looks kind of out of place in sequential narrative? like idk it looks messy to me when typically i prefer strong, solid lines

and the way ive been going about shading and colour is just gradually adding tone with the marker tool

but when i look at it now it seems kind of flat and boring

so i redid a recent panel using only the binary brush, adding stronger shading, hand-drawn speech bubbles and a more detailed background (which is just the sky really but ye)

i figure if i’m going to change things around it may as well be now while it’s still kinda early so i don’t confuse people

so idk what im asking is which style looks better, the original:
